“Built for people who bill for their time”

Used weekly for 1–2 years

Track hours against a project, turn them into an invoice, get paid by card, watch it reconcile. That loop is the whole reason I chose it and it works better here than in the general-purpose ledgers.

Pros

Time-to-invoice flow is seamless. Automated payment reminders got my average payment time down by nine days.

Cons

Billable client caps on lower plans. No inventory at all.

Problems it solves

Chasing late invoices stopped being a task I did manually.

“Project profitability is the underrated feature”

Knowing which engagements actually made money — not just what we invoiced — changed how we price. Most accounting software makes you build that in a spreadsheet.

Pros

Project profitability reporting, retainer handling, clean client portal.

Cons

Accountants sometimes push back on the depth of the underlying ledger.

“The client limit is the thing to watch”

Lite covers five billable clients, which sounds fine until a good quarter. I upgraded twice in a year. Not hidden, but it is the constraint that will move you between tiers rather than any feature.

Pros

Friendliest interface in accounting software. Excellent mobile receipt capture.

Cons

Client caps drive upgrades. Extra team members cost per user on top.
