“The first HR system our staff actually use”

Used daily for 1–2 years

Employee self-service adoption was near total within a month, which never happened with the two systems before it. Time-off requests, documents and org charts all live where people can find them.

Pros

Genuinely usable interface. Onboarding checklists and e-signature are excellent.

Cons

Quote-based pricing made budgeting awkward. Payroll and performance cost extra.

Problems it solves

HR admin questions to my inbox dropped by roughly half.

“Great HRIS, average payroll”

Used daily for 1–2 years

As a system of record it is the best we evaluated. Payroll is competent but we kept Gusto for it, which means two systems and a sync. Worth deciding up front whether you want one vendor or the best of each.

Pros

Records, reporting and reviews are strong. Applicant tracking included.

Cons

Payroll is an add-on and not its strength. US-only.

“Pricing opacity is the main frustration”

Used weekly for 6–12 months

Good software let down by a buying process that requires a sales call to learn the number. We were quoted meaningfully more than published estimates suggested once the add-ons were included.

Pros

Solid HRIS, good support, reliable.

Cons

No public pricing. Add-ons for payroll and performance push the total up.
