“Made hiring in four countries a non-event”

Contracts, compliance, local benefits and payroll in Poland, Brazil, Spain and the Philippines without opening a single entity. The alternative quote from our lawyers for one country exceeded a year of Deel fees for all four.

Pros

Country coverage, fast contractor onboarding, compliance handled properly.

Cons

EOR fees per head add up. Benefits quality varies noticeably by country.

Problems it solves

Hired the best candidate regardless of where they lived.

“Contractor management is the cheap entry point”

We started at $49 per contractor rather than full EOR and that covered our needs for a year. Invoicing, tax forms and payments in local currency all handled. Worth knowing you do not have to buy the expensive tier first.

Pros

Contractor tier is well priced. Payments arrive reliably in local currency.

Cons

The platform is much more product than a single-country company needs.

“Right answer, but model the crossover point”

Excellent at what it does. At around eight employees in one country the EOR fees exceeded what our accountants quoted to establish a local entity, so we moved that country in-house and kept Deel for the long tail.

Pros

Genuinely removes the legal barrier to international hiring.

Cons

Per-head EOR pricing means it gets expensive to concentrate headcount in one country.
