“Design and ship in one artifact”

Used weekly for 1–2 years

Our marketing site went from a two-week design-then-build cycle to same-day changes. I design the page and press publish; there is no rebuild step and no developer in the loop for copy or layout changes.

Pros

Publishing directly from the canvas. Animation tooling is the best without code.

Cons

You are committing to Framer for hosting too. Per-site pricing adds up across a portfolio.

Problems it solves

Marketing stopped queuing behind engineering for website changes.

“Excellent for marketing sites, not for product”

Used weekly for 6–12 months

We use it for the public site and Figma for the app. Trying to use Framer as a general design tool does not work — there is no handoff and it is not built for that. Within its lane it is superb.

Pros

CMS and SEO controls are real. Page performance out of the box is strong.

Cons

No developer handoff. Not suited to complex web applications.
