“Perfect for a monthly client newsletter”

Used monthly for 2+ years

I send one campaign a month to about 900 contacts. Mailchimp does that flawlessly for very little money and I never think about deliverability. Not everything needs to be a marketing automation platform.

Pros

Simple, dependable, good templates.

Cons

Anything beyond a linear sequence gets fiddly fast.

“Still the easiest first send”

Used weekly for 1–2 years

Got a non-marketer from zero to a decent-looking campaign in an afternoon. For validating that email works as a channel before spending anything, nothing else is this frictionless.

Pros

Templates and editor are the friendliest available. Free tier is enough to prove the channel.

Cons

Price climbs quickly with list size. Automation branching is limited.
