Our company brain, with projects included

Used daily for 2+ years

Docs, wiki, meeting notes and the project tracker share one graph. Linking a spec to its tasks to its launch announcement is native, not an integration. Notion AI answering questions against our own wiki has genuinely reduced Slack interruptions.

Pros

Unified knowledge + work, relational databases, AI search over our own docs.

Cons

Not built for velocity tracking — engineering metrics live elsewhere.

Product docs and roadmap-lite in one

Used daily for 1–2 years

We keep PRDs, research and a lightweight roadmap here while engineering execution lives in Linear via the integration. That split is the right one: Notion for thinking, Linear for shipping. Synced databases mean status flows back into the docs automatically.

Pros

Writing experience, Linear sync, flexible views for stakeholder-specific roadmaps.

Cons

Permissions granularity is coarse; page-level only gets you so far.

Consultants: your deliverables system is here

Used daily for 2+ years

Every client engagement is a Notion workspace section: brief, research, timeline, deliverables. Clients get guest access to exactly their pages. It replaced Google Docs sprawl and a lightweight PM tool simultaneously. Databases take a weekend to click; after that you build anything.

Pros

Client-ready polish, database views, template reuse across engagements.

Cons

Offline mode is unreliable; big databases get sluggish.
