Solid default choice, few regrets

Used daily for 6–12 months

Evaluated six CRMs for a 20-person B2B services firm and picked HubSpot mostly for adoption odds. Six months in, reps actually use it, which makes every report trustworthy. It is not the cheapest or the deepest, but it is the one people do not fight.

Pros

Adoption. Clean UI. Excellent import tooling and Chrome extension.

Cons

Per-seat cost creeps; some power features feel paywalled twice.

Replaced three tools with one hub

Used daily for 1–2 years

We ran sales in Pipedrive, marketing in Mailchimp and support in a shared Gmail. Moving everything onto HubSpot killed the copy-paste between systems overnight. The free tier carried us for four months before we needed Starter, and onboarding two new reps took under an hour each.

Pros

One contact record shared across sales, marketing and support. Import from Pipedrive was genuinely one afternoon.

Cons

The jump from Starter to Professional is brutal on a small budget — most of the automation we wanted sits behind it.

Problems it solves

No more reconciling contact lists across tools; every rep sees the full history before a call.

CS team lives in it all day

Used daily for 2+ years

We route renewals and support follow-ups through HubSpot tickets alongside deals. The shared inbox with collision detection stopped double-replies. Wish the mobile app handled tickets as well as it handles contacts.

Pros

Shared inbox, sequences for renewal reminders, snippets.

Cons

Mobile app is contact-first; ticket workflows feel bolted on.
