from our research & verified reviews

No free plan — and email sync requires the $39 Advanced tier
Professional ($49) is the sweet spot: AI assistant, forecasting, e-signatures
Reporting and marketing depth trail HubSpot and Zoho at comparable spend
Our verdict
Pipedrive is the most focused selling tool in this list — a CRM that behaves like a to-do list for revenue. Its core loop is brilliant: every deal must have a next activity, overdue items glow at you, and the pipeline view makes a Monday-morning funnel review take five minutes. Reps who resist heavier CRMs tend to actually use Pipedrive, which matters more than any feature.
Pricing is honest but tiered aggressively. Essential at $14/user/month covers the pipeline basics; two-way email sync — which most teams will consider essential — requires Advanced at $39. Professional at $49 adds the AI assistant, forecasting and e-signatures, and is the tier most growing teams should target. There is no free plan, only a 14-day trial.
The trade-offs are clear. Reporting is serviceable but shallow next to Zoho or HubSpot Professional; there is no native lead scoring; and the marketing side is limited to an add-on email product. Teams that need a shared inbox or deep revenue analytics will feel the ceiling within a year or two. But for founder-led sales and SMB teams whose process is "call, follow up, close," Pipedrive remains the easiest CRM to run at full adoption — and our Easiest to Use badge holder for 2026.

“A consultant’s dream: zero training needed”
Used weekly for 2+ years
I set up Pipedrive for clients constantly because it is the only CRM where a non-technical founder is productive on day one. Pipeline view is the product — everything else stays out of the way. For solo consultants the Essential tier is all you need.

“Our reps finally update the CRM”
Used daily for 1–2 years
Real estate sales lives on follow-up discipline. Pipedrive’s activity-based selling — always a next step scheduled — is the first system our agents did not abandon in week two. Rotting deals turn visibly stale, which triggers exactly the right conversations.

“Moved off HubSpot and cut our bill 70%”
Used daily for 6–12 months
We used maybe a fifth of HubSpot and paid for all of it. Pipedrive Professional covers our actual workflow — pipeline, sequences, forecasting-lite — at a fraction. Migration took a weekend with the built-in importer. We miss the marketing attribution, nothing else.

“Perfect for an agency pipeline, priced fairly”
Used daily for 1–2 years
We track retainers and project deals across two pipelines. Advanced tier with email sync does everything a 9-person agency needs at a third of what we quoted elsewhere. Automations handle the proposal-followup-close paperwork.

“Does one thing brilliantly”
Used daily for 6–12 months
As an AE I have used Salesforce, HubSpot and Zoho at previous jobs. Pipedrive is the only one that feels built for the person doing the selling rather than the person reading the dashboard. Keyboard-fast, mobile app is genuinely usable in a parking lot before a meeting.

“Right size for a one-woman shop”
Used weekly for 6–12 months
I sell wholesale to boutiques and Pipedrive keeps 200 accounts straight for $14 a month. Nothing about it intimidates me and support answered my one question within hours. It simply does what the screenshots promise.
FAQs
Pipedrive questions, answered
Written and fact-checked by our editorial team.
How much does Pipedrive cost?
Five tiers, per user per month billed annually: Essential $14, Advanced $39, Professional $49, Power $64, Enterprise $99. Monthly billing runs 25–70% higher. Most teams should target Advanced (adds two-way email sync) or Professional (AI assistant, forecasting, e-signatures). There is no free plan — just a 14-day trial, currently paired with a 30% first-year discount via our partner deal.
Does Pipedrive have a free plan?
No. Pipedrive offers a 14-day free trial of any tier (no credit card required) but no permanent free plan. If a free tier is a requirement, HubSpot CRM, Zoho CRM, Freshsales and Attio all offer one — see our free CRM guide. Pipedrive’s counter-argument is price: Essential at $14/user is among the cheapest paid entry points in the category.
Who is Pipedrive best for?
Small and mid-sized sales teams — especially founder-led or outbound-heavy ones — whose process is a clear pipeline of calls, follow-ups and closes. Its activity-based design produces the best rep adoption we have measured. It is a weaker fit for RevOps-heavy orgs needing deep reporting, or teams wanting marketing and support on the same platform.
Can I migrate to Pipedrive from HubSpot or a spreadsheet?
Yes. Pipedrive has one-click import from HubSpot, Zoho and Salesforce (via Import2) plus robust spreadsheet import with field mapping and duplicate detection. A sub-20-person team typically completes the move in a weekend. Email history syncs forward from connection day; historical threads stay in your inbox and can be attached selectively.
