Affiliate links
Some links to software vendors are affiliate links. If you click one and later buy or subscribe, the vendor may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you pay is the same as going to the vendor directly.
The “Visit site” buttons on tool pages, category rankings and article tool cards pass through a Saaspare redirect so we can count referrals, and are marked sponsoredfor search engines. Ordinary links inside article text go straight to the site they name. Not every vendor has an affiliate programme with us; the ones that don't are linked and ranked exactly the same way.
What commissions never affect
- Rankings. A product's position in a category is an editorial judgement. Whether it pays a commission, or how much, plays no part.
- Verdicts. We publish critical verdicts on products we earn from, and recommend products we don't.
- Reviews. User reviews are moderated on the same rules for every product, and vendors can't edit or remove them.
Sponsored placements
A vendor may pay for a sponsored slot on a category page. A sponsored slot is always labelled “Sponsored” and sits outside the ranked list, so it never takes or displaces a ranked position. We don't sell articles, verdicts, badges or positions within a ranking.
We never pay for reviews
We don't offer money, gift cards, discounts or anything else in exchange for a review, and we don't accept reviews written by vendors about their own products. How reviews are handled is set out in our methodology.
