“Workflow OS for our middle office”

Used daily for 1–2 years

We digitized approval chains and request intake that used to live in email. The form-to-board pipeline with automated routing cut turnaround times roughly in half. IT liked the SOC2 posture and SCIM provisioning on the Enterprise tier.

Pros

Forms + automations for approvals, enterprise controls, reliability.

Cons

Enterprise tier required for the good governance features; pricing pressure at renewal.

“Great for ops, we outgrew it for delivery”

Used weekly for 1–2 years

For operational trackers — hiring pipelines, vendor management, content calendars — monday is superb. For deep project delivery with dependencies and docs we kept fighting it, which is why we eventually moved that half to ClickUp. Many teams should happily run both use cases here though.

Pros

Fast board building, formula columns, polished mobile app.

Cons

Docs are weak; complex dependencies get awkward; costs stack with seat bundles.
