“Excellent, but verify anything that matters”
Used daily for 2+ years
It is a genuinely strong engineering aid — rubber-ducking architecture, writing throwaway scripts, explaining unfamiliar code. It also states wrong things with total confidence, and the failure mode is subtle enough that a junior will not catch it. Useful multiplier, dangerous oracle.
Pros
Fast at throwaway code and explanations. Code execution lets it check its own numeric work.
Cons
Confident errors on anything niche. Same prompt on two days gives noticeably different answers.
