“Rolled out to 60 staff without a single complaint”

Used daily for 1–2 years

Remote team on hotel and cafe networks. Installed it, enforced always-on, and the support tickets I braced for never arrived. It is fast enough that nobody switches it off, which is the only metric that matters for a security control.

Pros

Fast enough to stay enabled. Apps work on everything our staff own.

Cons

Renewal pricing needs a diary reminder and a phone call.

Problems it solves

A security control staff actually leave switched on.

“The only one where I forget it is on”

Used daily for 2+ years

I run it permanently on a gigabit line and large downloads still saturate the connection. Every other VPN I have used made me aware of it. Speed is the difference between a VPN you use and one you keep disabling.

Pros

Genuinely fast. Audits published repeatedly rather than once. Streaming works without fiddling.

Cons

The renewal quote was nearly three times what I had been paying.

Problems it solves

A VPN I actually leave connected instead of switching off when it gets in the way.

“Audit history is why we chose it for staff”

We needed something for a distributed team on hotel and café networks. Repeated third-party audits and Panamanian incorporation gave our security lead enough to sign off, which a single old audit would not have.

Pros

Evidence rather than marketing claims. Consistent performance across regions.

Cons

Ten devices sounds generous until you count laptops, phones and tablets across a family.

“Good product, tiresome pricing dance”

Every renewal is a negotiation. I cancel, they offer a discount, I resubscribe. The software is excellent and the commercial experience is faintly exhausting.

Pros

Fast, reliable, well audited.

Cons

Renewal pricing assumes you will not check. Apps keep gaining features I did not want.
