“Nothing else is close for vertical”

Used daily for 1–2 years

I tried cutting Reels in Premiere for a month out of professional pride. CapCut does the same job in a fifth of the time with better captions, and my audience cannot tell which tool made what.

Pros

Auto captions are excellent and styled in one tap. Free tier covers almost everything I do.

Cons

If you use the trending templates your video looks like everyone else's.

Problems it solves

Cut my short-form turnaround from an hour to about ten minutes.

“Phone to desktop handoff is the underrated bit”

Used daily for 6–12 months

Our social lead shoots and roughs a clip on her phone on location, and finishes it on a laptop later in the same project. No exporting, no transferring. That matches how the work actually happens.

Pros

Cross-device projects. Team workspace with a shared brand kit.

Cons

Not usable for our long-form webinar edits at all.
