“Our team works across three offices and two countries”

Cloud profiles mean whoever picks up an account opens the same profile from wherever they are. With local-first tools we were exporting and importing constantly and occasionally getting it wrong.

Pros

Genuine device independence. Easiest tool to onboard someone onto.

Cons

Loading a profile at busy times takes longer than I would like.

Problems it solves

Removed profile handoff between team members entirely.

“Cloud-run saved my laptop”

Used daily for 6–12 months

Running fifteen profiles locally made my machine unusable. Cloud-run executes them on their infrastructure and my laptop stays free. That is a genuinely different capability rather than a convenience.

Pros

Cloud-run mode is the standout feature. Simple interface.

Cons

Fingerprint options are thinner than the enterprise tools if you want fine control.

“Cloud storage was the blocker for us”

Used weekly for 6–12 months

Convenient architecture, and it means session data for client accounts lives on a third party's servers. Our security review would not accept that, so we chose a tool with local storage instead.

Pros

Well built and easy for teams that can accept the model.

Cons

No local-only option, which is disqualifying in some environments.
