Brand voice ended our editing bottleneck

Used daily for 1–2 years

Six marketers producing content in one voice used to mean everything routed through me for a tone pass. Training the brand voice on our best existing material moved that check to the front of the process. My review queue halved.

Pros

Brand voice is genuinely effective once trained properly. Campaign workflow gives matched assets from one brief.

Cons

Costs several times what a general assistant does. You are paying for consistency, not raw quality.

Problems it solves

Removed a person-shaped bottleneck from every piece of content we publish.

We run it for clients, not for ourselves

Used daily for 1–2 years

Separate brand voices per client is exactly what an agency needs, and it is the reason we pay. Internally we would just use ChatGPT. The value is entirely in managing several distinct voices without them bleeding into each other.

Pros

Multiple brand voices kept cleanly separate. Shared library across the account team.

Cons

Per-seat pricing bites as the team grows. Some templates feel dated.

Wrong purchase as a solo founder

Used weekly for less than 6 months

I bought it because it is marketed at marketers and I am the marketer. Six weeks later I realised I was paying two and a half times ChatGPT for output I could not reliably distinguish. Cancelled, wrote better prompts, no regrets.

Pros

Templates are a helpful starting point if you have never written a brief.

Cons

No meaningful advantage over a general assistant when there is only one of you.
