“The only one whose output I would show a customer”
Used weekly for 6–12 months
I tried three of these and the others all produced something that screamed AI generated — same layout, same spacing, same everything. Lovable produced a site I was happy to put my name on. For a solo founder with no designer that is the entire value proposition.
Pros
It looks designed. Stripe and auth took an afternoon rather than a week. The code syncs to GitHub so I am not trapped.
Cons
Credits go quickly once you are fixing rather than building. My second month cost double the first.
Problems it solves
Got a paying product live without hiring a designer or a developer.

“Brilliant for two weeks, then a hard week”
Used weekly for 6–12 months
The first fortnight felt like magic and I told everyone. Then I hit a bug it could not fix and watched it try the same wrong thing four times, each attempt costing credits. Learning to reset the conversation and describe the problem precisely fixed it, but nobody warns you about that week.
Pros
Fast, genuinely good-looking output, integrations that work.
Cons
Failed attempts cost the same as successful ones. The learning curve is hidden until you hit it.

“We build client landing pages with it now”
Used weekly for 6–12 months
Small marketing sites that used to take a week of designer and developer time take a day. We are open with clients about how it is built and none have minded, because the result looks better than what our old template process produced.
Pros
Output quality is a genuine step up on templates. Custom domains and no badge on Pro.
Cons
Not the tool for anything with real application logic. Credit budgeting across client projects takes discipline.
