Lovable is the right tool for one particular job: getting a working web app in front of customers when nobody on the team writes code. Its default interfaces look designed rather than generated, which matters for a landing page, a client portal or the first version of a product that people will judge on sight. Because the backend is built in, sign-up, a database and file storage arrive with the app instead of becoming a separate project, and Git sync means the code is never trapped: a developer can take it over later and carry on in an ordinary repository.

The cost of that convenience is predictability. Every build message spends credits, including the ones that do not fix the problem, so one stubborn bug can use a large share of a month's allowance. Projects also get harder to steer as they grow. Once an app has many screens, user roles and integrations, each change touches more code and a fix is more likely to break something else. That is usually the point to move the code into a developer-run workflow.

Pro costs $25 a month, or $21 a month billed yearly, and gives the whole workspace 100 monthly credits plus 5 daily build credits; the team shares that pool rather than paying per seat. Unused monthly credits roll over while you stay subscribed, and top-ups cost $15 per 50 credits. Business costs twice as much, $50 a month or $42 billed yearly, for the same credit tier. The free plan's 5 credits a day, capped at 30 a month, is enough to build something small and see whether the approach suits you.

Choose Lovable when the result will be seen by customers and needs to look finished early. If the goal is a quick internal prototype, Bolt.new is a more direct route, and if the project is meant to become a long-lived product, plan its move to a developer-maintained codebase from the start.
