“Second tool, never the first”
Used daily for 6–12 months
Tried to run on Perplexity alone for a month as an experiment. Research was better than anything else; everything else was worse. Now I pay for two subscriptions and use each for what it is good at, which is obvious in hindsight.
Pros
Best-in-class for factual lookup and current information.
Cons
Not a general assistant. Multi-turn conversations lose the thread quickly.
