Our ops team needed a small request-tracking app. Engineering had it at eight weeks. I described it to the Agent, spent an evening iterating, and had something deployed and in use by Monday. It is not beautiful code but it solved a real problem immediately.
Pros
Genuinely goes from description to live URL. Database and hosting included so there was nothing to set up.
Cons
Credits vanished faster than I expected during heavy iteration. Budget more than the sticker price suggests.

“Perfect for prototypes, wrong for the real product”
Used weekly for 1–2 years
I use it constantly to put a clickable thing in front of a client in a day. When a project is approved we rebuild properly elsewhere. Treating it as a prototyping tool rather than a production platform is the trick, and people who miss that end up unhappy.
Pros
Fastest idea-to-demo path available. Clients can click a real URL instead of a mockup.
Cons
Not where I would build something meant to last. Performance drops as the project grows.

“The billing model is the problem”
Used monthly for 6–12 months
The technology is genuinely impressive and I recommend it for prototyping. But an afternoon of aggressive iteration cost me more than a month of Cursor, and there is no hard cap that would have stopped me. Set a spend limit before you start.
Pros
Agent handles full-stack scaffolding well. Deployment is one click.
Cons
Effort-based pricing is opaque during a build session. Easy to overspend without noticing.
