“Best site audit, second-best link data”

Used daily for 1–2 years

Their crawler found things ours and Ahrefs both missed on a large ecommerce site — orphaned pages and a redirect chain nobody had noticed. For technical work it is excellent. For link research I still open Ahrefs.

Pros

Most thorough cloud site audit we have used. Position tracking is very configurable.

Cons

Backlink index is visibly behind Ahrefs. Reports overlap confusingly.

“Seat pricing pushed us to Ahrefs”

Used weekly for 1–2 years

Loved the toolkit. Then we needed four logins and the quote was more than our entire software budget. Moved organic work to Ahrefs and kept one Semrush seat purely for ad research.

Pros

If one person does everything, the value is real.

Cons

Team pricing is punishing. This is the single most common reason agencies leave.
