“Replaced three paid form subscriptions with a free plan”
Used weekly for 1–2 years
We had forms scattered across two paid tools, all limited by response caps. Tally does the same job with no limits at all. We eventually paid for Pro to remove branding, which is $24 against the $90 we were spending.
Pros
No response anxiety. Building a form takes minutes because you just type.
Cons
For our customer research we still use a proper survey tool — Tally does not do quotas or weighting.
Problems it solves
Removed response limits as a consideration entirely.

“Notion-style editing is the right idea”
Used weekly for 6–12 months
Type a question, hit slash, pick a field type. I built a six-question conditional form in about four minutes without reading anything. Every other builder makes me learn its metaphor first.
Pros
Genuinely intuitive. Output looks clean with zero effort.
Cons
Support took four days to answer a question about Stripe setup.
Excellent for general forms. We wanted to use it for a patient-facing questionnaire and there is no BAA, so it was immediately out. Know your compliance requirements before you fall in love with the free tier.
