Tally's free plan is the most generous offer in this entire directory: unlimited forms and unlimited responses, with conditional logic included. Where competitors meter submissions and force upgrades, Tally does not, and for most teams that removes the only constraint that actually mattered.

The editor is the second reason to like it. You type, and slash-commands insert fields the way Notion inserts blocks — no dragging, no property panels. In our build test it produced a working conditional form fastest of any tool here, and non-technical colleagues learn it without instruction.

The Pro plan at $29 adds what most businesses eventually want — custom domains, branding removal, payments, partial submissions — and it remains cheap. What you do not get is depth: no advanced survey methodology, no HIPAA, fewer native integrations than Jotform, and analytics that answer the basics only. Support is email-only and slower than the incumbents.

Our guidance: the default starting point for almost everyone, and the right permanent home for internal forms, feedback and simple lead capture. Move to Typeform for high-value external forms and Jotform for regulated or workflow-heavy ones.
