Fillout is the value pick for anyone who has hit a wall with the incumbents. It looks close to Typeform, has logic and calculation depth approaching Jotform's, writes natively into Airtable, Notion, Sheets and databases, and allows 1,000 responses a month on its free plan — ten times Typeform's paid entry tier.
The native integrations are the standout. Where most builders send data through Zapier, Fillout writes directly into the systems teams already use, including updating existing records rather than only creating new ones. Combined with scheduling, payments and multi-page logic, it covers workflows that usually require two tools.
The caution is maturity. It is the newest product here, the support organisation is small, and reviewers occasionally report edge-case bugs that a fifteen-year-old competitor would have shaken out. There is no HIPAA path, and for research work the survey methodology is thin. Choosing a young vendor for a business-critical form carries real if modest risk.
Our guidance: excellent for teams that want capability without incumbent pricing, particularly if you live in Airtable or Notion. Choose Jotform if compliance matters, and Typeform if brand presentation is the whole point.
