“Business plan or do not bother”

Used weekly for 2+ years

A client bought Premium because it sounded sufficient, then discovered no plugins. That is the whole platform for most people. On Business it is excellent — managed WordPress without the server — but the lower tiers are a trap for anyone who chose WordPress for the ecosystem.

Pros

Full plugin access and managed hosting on Business. Export means we can move a client anywhere.

Cons

Plan naming actively misleads. Premium sounds like the good one and is not.

Problems it solves

Gave clients WordPress power without us administering servers.

“Powerful, still more work than the alternatives”

Used monthly for 2+ years

I know WordPress so this was comfortable, but I would not send a non-technical client here. Choosing between six similar plugins for one job is a skill, and Squarespace simply does not ask that question.

Pros

Does anything you need eventually. Great value on annual Business pricing.

Cons

Decision fatigue from plugin choices. Block editor is fine rather than good.
