The renewal did not ruin the deal

Used monthly for 1–2 years

I have been burned by hosts that quadruple after a year. Hostinger went from about $3 to about $9, which is still cheaper than the introductory price at two of the alternatives I looked at. Site has been up for eighteen months without me thinking about it.

Pros

Honest-ish renewal pricing. Fast enough that I stopped worrying about it. hPanel makes sense.

Cons

Chat support gave me two canned answers before someone read my actual question.

Problems it solves

Reliable hosting for under $110 a year including the domain.

Where we put clients who will not pay for managed

Used weekly for 2+ years

Small clients with a brochure site and 2,000 visits a month do not need WP Engine. Hostinger Business gives them staging and daily backups for less than a tenth of the price, and I have not had a performance complaint yet.

Pros

Staging on a cheap plan is unusual. Migration was free and they did it properly.

Cons

Entry plan limits are tight — we start clients on Business, not Premium.

Fine until I needed real help

Used monthly for 1–2 years

Everything worked for a year. Then a plugin conflict took the site down and support took nearly two hours to reach someone who could actually look at the logs. Got there in the end, but if downtime costs you money, pay for better support.

Pros

Excellent price. Genuinely fast. Backups restored cleanly.

Cons

Support is the weak point under pressure. First-line responses are scripted.
