What it does well is the unglamorous first pass. It posts a summary of what a pull request actually changes, flags the obvious problems — unhandled errors, missing null checks, a test that does not test anything, a secret in a config file — and offers fixes you can apply with a click. Human reviewers arrive at a PR that has already been triaged, and the effect our reviewers report most often is not "it found a bug I would have missed" but "I stopped skimming large PRs". It learns from the comments your team leaves, so the noise falls over the first month.

It is not a replacement for human review and the vendor is careful not to claim it is. It comments on what it can see in a diff; it does not know the product decision behind a change, and it will occasionally raise something stylistic with more confidence than it deserves. Teams that treat every comment as mandatory find it tiresome. At $24 per user per month it is also not cheap on top of whatever you already pay to generate the code — but reviews are free forever on public repositories, which makes it an easy thing to trial in the open.

Our guidance: the right second purchase for any team that has adopted an agent and noticed review becoming the bottleneck. Do not buy it first — buy it when the queue tells you to.
