Softr vs Bubble: Which is better in 2026?

These solve different problems and the most expensive mistake in this category is confusing them. Softr puts a permission-controlled interface on data you already keep in Airtable, Sheets or Postgres — in our build test it produced a working client portal in under two hours, and non-technical staff maintain it themselves. Bubble builds applications with their own database, users and business logic, and can run a real company; it also took our tester weeks to become productive and has a learning curve closer to programming. The question is not which is more powerful, it is what you are building. A client portal, directory or internal dashboard on existing data is Softr's job and Bubble would be months of unnecessary work.
