Overview
What is Mighty Networks?
Mighty Networks is a community and course platform made by Mighty Networks, Inc., a US company founded in 2017. Every plan gives the owner a Mighty Network website, Spaces, direct messaging, chat inside each Space and free Mighty apps for iOS and Android. The company's pricing FAQ says brands use it to bring customers or employees together for feedback, ambassador programs or paid memberships.
A free trial opens with an AI Cohost that asks who you want to bring together, then generates marketing materials, a landing page, a logo, brand imagery and a simple community template. The owner adds Spaces from templates. A Space can hold a feed, chat, events or a course, though Spaces on the Explore plan support one feature each. Hosts can charge for the whole network or any single Space by subscription, one-time payment or installments, with tiers, free trials and promo codes. Web payments run through Stripe, and purchases in the iOS app go through Apple.
From the Launch plan up, hosts can download member data as an Excel file and connect Google Analytics and marketing pixels. Scale adds the Mighty API, an Admin REST API, MCP access and Zapier. Plans are flat subscriptions, mostly with a choice of monthly or yearly billing, and differ in features, host and moderator seats, storage and livestream hours. Mighty also takes a percentage of member payments, which falls on higher plans. Mighty Pro, priced by quote, puts the community in the owner's own branded iOS and Android apps.

Mighty Networks makes sense for hosts whose members will mostly show up on their phones. Free Mighty apps for iOS and Android come with every plan, along with a website, direct messages and chat in each Space. Spaces are the building block: one can hold a feed, chat, events or a course, and each can be sold on its own by subscription, one-time payment or installments. That lets a host keep a free community and sell a course or a premium group inside it.
The plan ladder needs a careful read. Explore, the lowest-priced plan, allows one host and one moderator, limits each Space to a single feature, leaves out courses and keeps 5% of member payments. The API and Zapier start on Scale, migration help on Growth, and apps under your own brand only on Mighty Pro. The 14-day trial runs on Growth, so features used during it switch off if you then settle on Launch or Scale, and search indexing isn't available until the trial is over. Purchases in the iOS app go through Apple, which Mighty's docs say takes 15% under its standard policy.
Launch is the plan most course sellers need: $95 a month, or $79 a month billed yearly, with 3 hosts, 10 moderators and a 2% transaction fee. Stripe's own fee comes on top, typically 2.5% to 5% according to Mighty's docs. At $2,000 a month in member payments, Explore and Launch cost the same on monthly billing, $135 before Stripe: Explore's $35 plus a $100 fee, or Launch's $95 plus $40. Above that, Launch is the cheaper plan as well as the more complete one. Scale costs $215 a month, or $179 billed yearly, with a 1% fee. Growth is listed at $354 a month billed annually ($4,250 a year), with a 0.5% fee.
Choose Mighty Networks for a paid community or course whose members will use phones more than laptops, and budget for Launch rather than Explore. If the value is in public, searchable discussion, Discourse costs nothing to start, on its hosted Free plan or as open-source software on your own servers. Skool suits a single paid group, with courses on both of its plans: Pro costs $99 a month plus 2.9% + 30 cents per transaction.

Does Mighty Networks have a free plan?
No. All of Mighty Networks' plans are paid, but there's a 14-day free trial that needs no credit card and runs on the Growth plan. When it ends you can continue on Launch or Scale; features those plans don't include switch off, and Mighty says content made with them comes back if you upgrade. What transaction fees does Mighty Networks charge?
Mighty Networks keeps 5% of member payments on Explore, 2% on Launch, 1% on Scale and 0.5% on Growth and Mighty Pro, plus 5% during the Growth free trial. The fee comes out of your Stripe earnings and isn't added to what members pay. Stripe's own fee applies on top, which Mighty's docs put typically between 2.5% and 5%. On $2,000 a month of member payments, the Mighty fee is $100 on Explore and $40 on Launch.
Can I get my own branded app with Mighty Networks?
Yes, on Mighty Pro, which is priced by quote. It puts your community in your own native iOS and Android apps, listed in the App Store and Google Play, for courses, memberships, events, challenges and livestreaming. Every other plan includes the free Mighty Networks apps for iOS and Android alongside the web version, so members can use a phone on any plan.
Can I export member data from Mighty Networks?
Yes, from the Launch plan up. Hosts can download member data as an Excel (.xlsx) file for the whole network, a single Space or one paid plan, after confirming that the Terms of Use forbid selling or sharing it. Mighty's docs say you keep full ownership of all content, member data and activity in your network, and that the data is hosted on AWS and encrypted at rest.
Does Mighty Networks have an API or a Zapier integration?
Yes, from the Scale plan up. Scale adds the Mighty API, which uses GraphQL, an Admin REST API with 5,000 requests a month, MCP access and Zapier, which connects to more than 2,000 apps. Growth raises the Admin API allowance to 50,000 requests a month and Mighty Pro to 300,000. Scale costs $215 a month, or $179 a month billed yearly, with a 1% transaction fee.
