Overview
What is Metricool?
Metricool is a social media management tool from Metricool Software, S.L., a Madrid company that's part of the team.blue group. Its About page traces it to Bloggerespacio, started in 2014, which became Metricool in 2015. The tool plans and publishes posts, measures results for organic posts and ad campaigns, and gathers messages and comments in an inbox.
Everything is organized by brand. A brand stands for one business or client and holds one profile per social network or ad platform, which is why each Google Business Profile location needs a brand of its own. Posts are scheduled from the calendar, from autolists, from a CSV file or by duplicating them to other brands, and they publish automatically when the network allows it; otherwise the post goes out through a phone notification. Analytics summarizes all networks or one at a time, competitor profiles are tracked next to your own, and reports download as PDF or PowerPoint files with an optional logo or go out by email each month. The inbox covers Facebook and Instagram comments and messages, X messages, comments on TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube, and Google reviews.
Metricool runs in the browser, on iOS and Android, and as a Chrome extension. It connects to Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, LinkedIn and Google Business Profile, plus ad accounts on Facebook, Google and TikTok, while X is a paid add-on. Advanced adds Zapier, Make, a Looker Studio connector and the API. Plans are priced by how many brands you manage.
Our verdict on Metricool
Metricool fits a freelancer or small agency that posts for several brands and has to show each one its results. Pricing follows brands rather than profiles, so five small clients cost the same on Starter as one. Reports go out as PDF or PowerPoint files with a logo, or by email every month, and on paid plans campaign dashboards show organic posts beside ad results through a link clients open without an account. The Free plan never expires and includes the inbox, which suits one brand posting up to 20 times a month.
The limits sit in the details. Starter is a one-person plan: a second teammate, a client login or a post approval step all mean moving to Advanced. X isn't part of any plan, so each connected X account costs $10 a month extra, and Free can't connect LinkedIn at all. The inbox replies but can't hide or delete comments, and it sends no alerts for new messages. Unlimited publishing on paid plans has a fair-use check: past 600 posts for a brand in a month, Metricool reviews the account by hand and posting stops meanwhile.
Starter costs $25 a month, or $20 a month billed yearly, for up to five brands, and $45, or $36 billed yearly, for up to ten. Advanced starts at $67 a month, or $53 billed yearly, for 15 brands with unlimited team members, and its 25- and 50-brand tiers cost $107 and $210 a month, or $85 and $159 billed yearly. A freelancer with eight clients pays $45 a month on Starter, billed monthly; hiring an assistant moves the same work to Advanced at $67 a month. Prices exclude VAT, and only the first 15 days after a first purchase qualify for a refund.
Choose Metricool when you report to several clients, want organic and paid results in one place and don't want to pay per seat. Look elsewhere if X is a main channel or social is a customer service desk. Buffer includes X in its ordinary per-channel price, $6 a channel a month on Essentials or $5 billed yearly. Sprout Social's Standard plan turns messages into cases you can assign to teammates, at $199 per seat a month billed yearly or $249 month to month.

FAQs
Metricool FAQs
Written by our editorial team.
Is Metricool free?
Yes. The Free plan never expires and needs no credit card. It covers one brand with one profile per network, 20 scheduled posts a month, 30 days of analytics with a watermark, five fixed competitor profiles and 5 AI credits a month. LinkedIn, X, PDF and PowerPoint report downloads, SmartLinks, Canva and Google Drive aren't included. Starter costs $25 a month, or $20 a month billed yearly, for up to five brands. See Metricool pricing.
What counts as a brand in Metricool?
A brand is one business or client, and it can hold one profile per social network or ad platform, such as one Instagram account, one Facebook page and one TikTok profile. Plans are priced by brand count: Starter allows 5 or 10, Advanced 15, 25 or 50, and Custom more than 50. Each Google Business Profile location needs its own brand. If you downgrade, Metricool keeps your oldest brands active and hides the rest without deleting them, unless you delete others first.
Does Metricool support X (Twitter)?
Yes, through a paid add-on. X isn't included in any plan: on Starter and above, each connected X account costs $10 a month on top of the plan, and Free can't add it. With the add-on you can schedule posts to X, answer X direct messages in the inbox and see X analytics, which are complete on Advanced and Custom and reduced on Starter. Metricool keeps X metrics for 30 days, while other networks keep unlimited history on paid plans.
Can you get a refund from Metricool?
Only in the first 15 calendar days after your first purchase of a paid plan, under the withdrawal right in Metricool's terms. Automatic monthly or yearly renewals aren't refundable, and cancelling an annual plan midway brings no partial refund. After you cancel, the plan runs to the end of the billing period and the account then moves to Free, with one brand left active. Add-ons such as X follow the same first-purchase rule. See Metricool alternatives if you're comparing options.
Where does Metricool store your data?
In the European Union. Metricool's privacy policy says it stores all data on servers within the EU and doesn't carry out international data transfers. Metricool Software, S.L. is based in Madrid and belongs to the team.blue group, which can receive customer contact, billing and purchase details for internal reporting and marketing statistics. For the personal data of people your brands deal with on social media, Metricool acts as a data processor and offers a data processing agreement.
